WCO Boosts Angolas Disaster Response Capacity

Through its COVID-19 project, the World Customs Organization (WCO) conducted a two-day emergency response field exercise in Angola. The initiative focused on disaster management, supply chain continuity, and the validation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). By utilizing simulation drills and international instruments, the exercise significantly enhanced the efficiency of customs clearance for relief goods and strengthened inter-agency coordination for the Angolan Customs administration during emergency situations.
