China Expands Dutyfree Shopping in Urban Stores to Spur Spending
Four government departments have jointly announced that, effective October 1, 2024, the product range at downtown duty-free shops will be expanded to 19 major categories. The updated list includes popular items such as food, cosmetics, electronics, home appliances, and household goods. This policy aims to enhance urban consumption quality and provide consumers with a more diverse range of duty-free shopping options.
