The expansion brings even more benefits: customers can now access next-day service from nine PITT OHIO terminals to Albany, Buffalo, and Utica. Additionally, five terminals in the Mid-Atlantic region now offer next-day service to and from Watertown in northern New York. These improvements translate to faster turnaround times, reduced inventory costs, and higher customer satisfaction.

PITT OHIO's move into New York follows its August 2022 acquisition of Teal's Express, a Watertown-based LTL carrier with over 96 years of experience serving New York State. The companies had partnered since 2016 before PITT OHIO acquired Teal's equipment and terminal assets, permanently cementing their relationship.
Following the acquisition, PITT OHIO integrated Teal's employees, equipment, and facilities into its operations, launching direct LTL service to and from New York on August 14, 2022. The company's sister firm, Ross Express, continues to provide similar LTL service between New England and New York.
Muessig noted that PITT OHIO's family of companies—including Dohrn Transfer, Ross, and US Special Delivery—now provides comprehensive regional and inter-regional LTL coverage from Maine to Virginia and New Jersey to Nebraska.
