ITS Logistics Opens New Texas Transportation Hub

ITS Logistics announces a new transportation hub in Fort Worth, Texas, integrating drayage, intermodal, and final mile delivery services. This expansion aims to broaden its national footprint and leverage technological innovation to optimize supply chain management. The facility is projected to create approximately 300 jobs and synergize with the company's existing Dallas-Fort Worth distribution center, enhancing overall operational efficiency. This strategic move strengthens ITS Logistics' capabilities in a key logistics market and supports its commitment to providing comprehensive supply chain solutions.
ITS Logistics Opens New Texas Transportation Hub

As global supply chains face increasing pressure for efficiency, ITS Logistics is making strategic moves to strengthen connectivity across North America. The third-party logistics provider announced plans to open a new transportation center in Fort Worth, Texas, marking another step in its nationwide expansion.

Fort Worth Transportation Center Overview

Scheduled to open in the third quarter, the 20,000-square-foot facility will serve as a regional hub integrating three critical services:

  • Drayage: Specialized short-haul transport between ports, rail yards, and warehouses
  • Intermodal: Coordinated freight movement combining truck, rail, and ocean transport
  • Final-Mile Delivery: Precision logistics for last-stage customer deliveries

The center is projected to create approximately 300 jobs within three to four years, contributing to the region's economic growth.

Strategic Synergy With Existing Operations

The new transportation hub complements ITS Logistics' existing 1.1 million-square-foot distribution center in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, completed in July 2023. This dual-facility approach creates operational synergies that enhance service speed and reliability for clients.

"Our Fort Worth center establishes a physical presence in a growing supply chain nexus serving multiple thriving industries," said CEO Scott Pruneau. The location positions the company to better serve both Texas markets and the broader southern U.S. region.

National Growth and Technology Investments

ITS Logistics has been actively expanding its national network:

  • Opened an innovation center in Walnut Creek, California (April 2024) focusing on container management platforms
  • Completed warehouse expansion in Whitestown, Indiana (January 2023) to boost Midwest capacity

Leadership and Industry Context

Veteran logistics executive Manny McElroy, who joined ITS in 2012 after leadership roles at Geodis and XPO, will oversee the Fort Worth operation. His appointment reflects the company's commitment to experienced leadership during this growth phase.

The move comes as Texas solidifies its position as a national logistics hub, benefiting from strategic geography, robust infrastructure, and business-friendly policies. The Dallas-Fort Worth area has emerged as a particularly attractive location for logistics providers serving cross-country supply chains.

As e-commerce demands and global trade volumes continue rising, ITS Logistics' integrated approach combining physical infrastructure with technological innovation positions the company to meet evolving industry challenges.
