E-commerce sellers on Shopee Malaysia will need to adapt to significant logistics changes as the platform prepares to implement a new official overseas warehouse system. Effective January 16, 2026, the marketplace will activate its upgraded warehouse facility under the new code MYK , replacing the current MYB designation.
All new inbound shipment requests created after the implementation date must specify the MYK warehouse. However, sellers with pending MYB warehouse applications submitted before January 16 that haven't yet been processed may complete those transactions without disruption. Platform officials emphasize this transition involves only administrative changes rather than physical relocation of goods.
To facilitate system migration, Shopee will temporarily suspend booking services for both MYB and MYK warehouses from January 25-27, 2026. The new MYK facility will begin accepting shipments starting January 28. Merchants are advised to adjust their shipping schedules accordingly to prevent logistical bottlenecks.
The platform will automatically cancel all MYB inbound orders scheduled for January 16 or later that remain unshipped. Sellers must monitor their inventory management systems and resubmit affected orders to the MYK warehouse.
While the transition presents operational challenges, industry analysts suggest the warehouse upgrade could yield long-term benefits including improved logistics efficiency and cost optimization. The platform has not yet disclosed a definitive sunset date for the MYB warehouse, prompting sellers to monitor official communications for updates.
