In a remarkable display of maritime engineering prowess, two gleaming new container vessels stood side by side at the dock, their pristine hulls glistening under the sunlight. This impressive scene marked a significant milestone for China State Shipbuilding Corporation's Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company, which recently held simultaneous naming ceremonies for two 2,700 TEU container ships built for South Korea's CK Line.
The vessels, designated H2531 and H2532, were christened "SKY PEACE" and "SKY PRIDE" respectively during the ceremony. These ships represent the first collaboration between Huangpu Wenchong and the Korean shipping company.
Advanced Design and Efficiency
Both container ships belong to Huangpu Wenchong's established product line, renowned in the market for their substantial cargo capacity, fuel efficiency, environmental friendliness, and superior economic performance. The vessel design incorporates modern shipping requirements through optimized hull lines and propulsion systems, achieving greater fuel efficiency while reducing emissions.
Exemplary Project Execution
Since the contract signing in September 2023, Huangpu Wenchong has adhered to strict quality standards and precise production management while maintaining tight control over construction timelines. The company's commitment to craftsmanship and service excellence earned high recognition from CK Line. The early delivery of both vessels demonstrates the successful collaboration between the shipbuilder, shipowner, classification societies, and all involved parties.
Huangpu Wenchong emphasized its continued dedication to craftsmanship and quality, pledging to deliver more high-performance vessels that meet shipowners' expectations. The company plans to intensify technological innovation efforts to further enhance vessel capabilities and quality standards, contributing to the global shipping industry's development.
The dual delivery not only showcases Huangpu Wenchong's technical capabilities but also establishes a new benchmark for Sino-Korean cooperation in shipbuilding.
