UK Pledges 21M to Upgrade Global Customs Systems
The UK government has announced a £2.1 million investment to deepen collaboration with the WCO and UNCTAD through the 'Accelerate Trade Facilitation' program. This initiative supports developing countries in modernizing their customs systems by focusing on the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, digital transformation, and organizational efficiency. By strengthening these areas, the program aims to enhance global supply chain resilience and foster sustainable economic growth in recipient nations.
